 A man, identified as Leroy Chacon, has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a mortuary to have sex with his late lover who died of coronavirus. The 50-year-old man was arrested by the Guyana police in South America and charged. Mr Chacon, according to reports, pleaded guilty for breaking into Port Kaituma Hospital mortuary. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment after he was quarantined for sleeping with coronavirus infected dead body.

     A baby has been rescued after being dumped in a hospital toilet in Bauchi state. It was gathered that the hospital workers at federal lowcost area - heard the screams of the baby and traced him to the toilet where he was abandoned. The baby was taken by the hospital staff, bathed and clothed before he underwent some medical checkup. According to reports, no one knows the mother who dumped the baby in the hospital toilet and how she did it.

 A pregnant Nigerian lady got married to an old man after the man who got her pregnant absconded, IgbereTV has learnt. Reacting to pictures of the traditional marriage shared on Twitter, a Twitter user, @TheOliviaLife stated that the marriage of the young lady with the old man was arranged by the lady's people after the man who Impregnated the lady absconded.   The Edo State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Theophilus Osazuwa for allegedly killing his four-year-old son. The command said Osazuwa was suspected to have committed the act while under the influence of hard drugs. The spokesperson for the command, Moses Yamu, revealed in a statement on Wednesday night that the incident, which resulted in the death of the four-year-old boy, occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. He stated that Osazuwa had just returned to his apartment at Ogbeson Quarters, off Benin-Agbor Road in Benin City, when he suddenly fell into a trance. While in a trance, the suspect reportedly screamed, “Holy Ghost fire,” grabbed the four-year-old boy, and slammed him against the wall, resulting in the child’s death.  A woman and her partner have been arrested by men of the Lagos state police command for allegedly inflicting injuries on her two children aged 5 and 2. The woman identified as Busola Oyediran and her partner, Akebiara Emmanuel, were arrested on Friday, January 13, by the police following reports by neighbours. The concerned neighbours had alerted the police of the consant physical abuse of the minors by their biological mother and her partner. Following the report, the police stormed the Egbeda/Idimu home of the couple and arrested them. The police later visited the hospital where the neighbours had taken the battered children for treatment. When confronted, their mother claimed the children fell from a motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.  Three siblings in Ebonyi State have drowned in a river at Amaeze in Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area of the state. The three siblings whose names were withheld as at press time got drowned mysteriously on Saturday after they left home to the river but never returned alive. Ebonyitvnews learnt that the three siblings were girls attending Comprehensive secondary school in Ishiagu and aged between 14-20 years. However, their bodies were found floating on the water while the circumstances surrounding their deaths remained unknown. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel who confirmed the incident said it was a case of sudden and unnatural death.
